New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization representative office in Paris, in 10, rue de la Paix, 75002 Paris (hereinafter “NEDO Europe”), is a foreign public body operating under the authority of New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization, in 1310 Omiya-cho, Saiwai-ku, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa 212-8554 (hereinafter “NEDO Japan”), also a public body.
NEDO Europe is concerned about personal data protection and engages itself to ensure the best level of protection for your personal data in all due compliance with current applicable legislation (Loi Informatique et Libertés and EU Regulation 2016/279).

Due to the existing reporting lines between NEDO Europe and NEDO Japan and also because its approval and validation are necessary for all decisions taken by NEDO Europe, you expressly consent to the transferring of your personal data towards NEDO Japan, as well as other partners. Personal data is here to be understood according to the definition provided for in EU Regulation 2016/679, and may include your name, your telephone number, your postal or e-mail address and other personal data which has been collected at the time of your contact with NEDO Europe.
NEDO Europe hereby informs you that on 23 January 2019, the European Commission announced that it had adopted an adequacy decision in relation to Japan, to enter into force immediately. The mutual agreement, which covers Japan as the whole of the EU, allows personal data to be transferred between Japan and the EU without the need for additional safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Personal data that you provide to NEDO Europe shall be saved in an electronic format, on a secured server.
The purpose of the treatment of your personal data is the smooth coordination of works among NEDO Europe and NEDO Japan, as well as their possible partners who comply with personal data privacy regulation.
NEDO Europe keeps personal data only for the time necessary for the processing in place. NEDO Europe can also keep your personal data for a longer time as part of its legal obligations. As regards personal data used for the aforementioned purpose, they are kept on file for at least three (3) years from the time of data collection or your last contact with NEDO Europe.
